Independence Day Speech (Short)
जो भरा नहीं है भावों से,
जिसमें बहती रसधार नहीं,
हृदय नहीं वह पत्थर है,
जिसमें स्वदेश का प्यार नहीं!!!
[--Greetings--]
The 76th Independence
Day of India is upon us!!
The day, when the sacrifices
made by our martyrs were acknowledged. The day, when the slavery of more than
100 years was ended and the day when we became “The Republic of India”.
India, which is known
to be special, fundamentally, where you can find Liberty, Equality and fraternity.
Yes, the three Pillars of the French Revolution were already there. Not only that
the “fundamental rights” – for which Americans struggled 150 years were
imminent for Indian citizens.
This auspicious day impels us to remember the struggle that
we have gone through.
From the first battle of Plassey, the revolt of 1857, Jallianwala
Bagh, Salt Satyagraha, Non-Cooperation Movement, Civil Disobedience Movement, and Quit India Movement.
These represent just the upper crust of our endeavour. The
contributions of freedom fighters such as Chandra Shekhar Azad, Mangal Pandey,
Saradar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi and many
more are impeccable and immeasurable.
Nevertheless, we are the highest growing economy, the biggest
successful democracy and the epicentre of world affairs in this day and age.
With this I would like to conclude myself, by saying:
ये बात हवाओं को बताए रखना,
रोशनी होगी चिरागों को जलाए रखना,
लहू देकर जिसकी हिफाजत हमने कि,
ऐसे तिरंगे को सदा दिल में बसाए रखना।
